Bug#525002: (no subject)

2009-05-01 Thread Georges Khaznadar
Hi Iiro,

I already have built successfully ktechlab in Lenny. It is the case in
the non-official repository
http://debian.ofset.org/pool/main/k/ktechlab_0.3.6-4_i386.deb

How can I ask for an official backport of ktechlab version 3.6-4 ?

Best regards, Georges.

Khaznadar, if a package is completely broken in stable (I think it
is), and the new version does not require any new libraries (well, I don't
know), it can be backported to stable.

Squeeze's ktechlab binary appears to depend on newer library versions than
there is in Lenny. Maybe the source package can be built against Lenny's
versions. If everything else fails, you may try static linking.
