Bug#526861: [Pkg-alsa-devel] Bug#526861: alsa-source: Internal Mic for Lenovo ideapad S10 (ICH7 Family) does not work.
Package: alsa-source Version: 1.0.19.dfsg-3 Severity: normal The internal mic is now working. Please close the bug. Don't know whether it is because of upgrading the latest stable kernel recently. Thanks.
Bug#526861: [Pkg-alsa-devel] Bug#526861: alsa-source: Internal Mic for Lenovo ideapad S10 (ICH7 Family) does not work.
Package: alsa-source Version: 1.0.19.dfsg-3 Severity: normal Cool. The internal mic now works ... but the voice are so low which hardly to listen. May i ask how to tune it up? i already set Internal Mic 71, Internal Mic Boost 33, Capture 100 and Master 100. There is error message after i applied your change. alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #2 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #3 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #8 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #9 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #12 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #15 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #16 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #18 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #19 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #20 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #21 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #22 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #23 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #24 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #25 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #26 (No such file or directory) alsactl: set_control:1269: failed to obtain info for control #27 (No such file or directory)

What is your setup to make it works? Thanks. Please copy attached asound.state (the one from my working mic record) to /var/lib/alsa/ as root, run # alsactl restore as root and test again. * dan.reportbug [090504 11:11 +0800] Package: alsa-source Version: 1.0.19.dfsg-3 Severity: normal This problem has previously fixed in experimental 1.0.18.dfsg-1. But now this package is missing. Therefore i tried the squeeze package, but the front mic does not work. I am still using (lenny) stable release. I can't reproduce this on my T61. Did you unmute all relevant chanells for recording? I've testet via arecord and audacity and the microphone works very well, though.
