Bug#527108: New debdiff and suggestion

2009-05-05 Thread Savvas Radevic
I made a new debdiff using the correct distribution.

Also, please consider removing the 0.2.5-1 check in
debian/libmtp.preinst.in (debian stable has version 0.2.6.1-3):
if dpkg --compare-versions $2 le 0.2.5-1 ; then
rm_conffile $PACKAGE /etc/hotplug/usb/$PACKAGE.usermap
rm_conffile $PACKAGE /etc/hotplug/usb/$PACKAGE.sh
fi

Bug#527108: New debdiff and suggestion

* Savvas Radevic vice...@gmail.com [2009-05-05 19:19]:

I made a new debdiff using the correct distribution.

Thanks, I already uploaded the fixed package. I changed some minor
things in your debdiff, like patching debian.control.in instead of
debian/control, fixing the version of udev in Breaks (0.136-1 instead of
136-1), and not hardcoding libmtp8 in libmtp.preinst.in. If you are
interested in seeing the changes:

http://git.debian.org/?p=users/rafael/deb-pkg/libmtp.git

I did not release the package as an NMU but I used your changelog text
and your contribution is acknowledge. I did not check the conffiles code
in detail, but you seem so confident that I went ahead with the upload.
I did though test the library with a Zen Creative device and everything
seems fine.

Also, please consider removing the 0.2.5-1 check in
debian/libmtp.preinst.in (debian stable has version 0.2.6.1-3):
 if dpkg --compare-versions $2 le 0.2.5-1 ; then
 rm_conffile $PACKAGE /etc/hotplug/usb/$PACKAGE.usermap
 rm_conffile $PACKAGE /etc/hotplug/usb/$PACKAGE.sh
 fi

I did it.

Thanks again,
