Sergey, Thanks for the information and your patch. Is this patch is only relevant to kernels 2.6.29 and 2.6.30, or will it work with later kernels as well? I am using kernel 2.6.35-22 on a Toshiba Portege R600 and I also get the error "required kernel toshiba support not enabled". I downloaded your 2.6.30.tar.gz and ran "sh install.sh" as instructed in the ReadMe file, but I got multiple errors. Is this because it is not compatible with the later kernel? Subject: toshset does not work on 2.6.29 and later kernels Package: toshset Version: 1.75-1 Kernel: linux-image-2.6.30-1-686 supplied with toshset experimental toshiba_acpi driver (which placed in /usr/share/doc/toshset/toshiba-acpi) doesnt compile on 2.6.29 and later kernels, making toshset fail with message "required kernel toshiba support not enabled." to make it work i have prepared patched versions of this driver for 2.6.29 and 2.6.30 kernels, with this patch applied: http://memebeam.org/free-software/toshiba_acpi/toshiba_acpi-dev_toshiba_test5-linux_2.6.29.patch possibly they should be included in place of (or in addition to) older versions (2.6.26, 2.6.28) found in package at this moment -- Sergey Pushkin 2.6.30.tar.gz Description: GNU Zip compressed data 2.6.29.tar.gz Description: GNU Zip compressed data
