Have you tried disabling kwin GL compositing? DRI1 with a compositing manager has never been a good combination. It is permament disabled here. Does: Option DisplayPriority HIGH in the device section of your config help? You need to use xf86-video-ati git master for this option to have an affect on your chipsets. Okay now I tested it on my amd64 sid workstation, which has got a x1650 pro, also KDE4, but here it works fine. So it seems to be realy a radeon issue, but I am downgrading to normal. - -- /* Mit freundlichem Gruß / With kind regards, Patrick Matthäi GNU/Linux Debian Developer E-Mail: pmatth...@debian.org patr...@linux-dev.org Comment: Always if we think we are right, we were maybe wrong. */ -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkrTUjYACgkQ2XA5inpabMfzfACbB3PYkF6wVoa17QkRs1YPnLOj cckAn3nLvSVoMnkJQnkGo96X1Z3I3gRT =iRN7 -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Any chance, that you guys package it for experimental? We currently have Xserver 1.7 in experimental, so I am not sure whether a ati package in experimental should be built against the Xserver from testing/unstable (1.6) or experimental (1.7). That said, you should be able to build a package using http://bgoglin.livejournal.com/10936.html Brice -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
