Yup. I think the upstream author might be MIA, last I heard
he was going to look at this in summer 2008.

I'm hoping to have a look at it sometime this year. I
suspect a proper fix will be a fairly invasive patch.

RAM: was killed at about 2G.

Looks like it has some idealogical problem.
