Bug#554364: udev creates broken initrd
Package: udev Version: 146-6 Severity: critical Justification: breaks the whole system Using update-initramfs on my system running on a Lenovo 3000 N100 notebook with udev-146 breaks the initrd. When booting, all seems normal until sd and sr attached the devices. After that point nothing happens. The system is running since e. g. plugging in an USB device produces some more output, but the boot process does not go on. Normally the next lines would be done. followed by Begin: Mounting root filesystem. I got into it and found out the problem is located in /scripts/init-premount/udev.
