Bug#558306: grub-pc: incorrect path to vmlinuz

2009-11-27 Thread Vincent Bernat
Package: grub-pc
Version: 1.97+20091125-1
Severity: important

Hi!

Since upgrade to latest grub, update-grub generates this:

linux /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.30-1-amd64 root=/dev/mapper/debian-root ro quiet

I have a /boot partition and therefore, it should be:

linux /vmlinuz-2.6.30-1-amd64 root=/dev/mapper/debian-root ro quiet

Grub then complains with some mystic error like you need to load
kernel first. I think the problem appeared in 1.97+20091125-1 but
maybe it was present in 20091124.

Please see http://bugs.debian.org/558042
Someone provided a /etc/grub.d/10_linux which fixes this.
