Bug#560285: epiphany-browser: MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH environment variable is ignored

2009-12-10 Thread Bob Ham
Package: epiphany-browser
Version: 2.29.3-1
Severity: important

I have an adobe flash plugin in a separate directory from the system's
plugin directory, which contains a gnash plugin. I call epiphany from
a script which sets the MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH environment variable to
include this directory, hence ensuring that flash is used over gnash
in epiphany.

It appears that since upgrading away from the gecko version of
epiphany, the MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH environment variable no longer has any
effect as gnash is used to display flash components instead of adobe's
plugin.

How about using the standard way instead of your big hack?
update-alternatives --config flash-mozilla.so

The standard way modifies all browsers that use mozilla plugins. I want
other browsers to use gnash and epiphany to use adobe flash.
