Bug#562921: grub-pc: First kfreebsd entries do not work

2009-12-29 Thread Patrick Matthäi
Package: grub-pc
Version: 1.98~20091222-1
Severity: important

Hello,

if I execute a update-grub on my kfreebsd-amd64 virtual machine, I get two
entrys in grub:
1) Debian gnu/kfreebsd, kfreebsd
2) Debian gnu/kfreebsd, with kfreebsd

The first entry uses "freebsd" to specify the kernel, the second one "kfreebsd"
- which is correct.
On booting the entrys with "freebsd" I just get a grub error: unknown command
freebsd.

Thanks for the report.

It should have been already fixed, but unfortunately we needed to revert
an upload with a version bump. So the version comparison in preinst was
wrong for almost all people probable.
Will be fixed with next upload. You may safely
remove /etc/grub.d/10_freebsd nowl.
