As squeeze is now released, I'm very much looking forward to an updated
package including these patches. It's a bit unfortunate that the original
reporter reported so many issues in one report, but I'm tagging this
security as I think it's very important to run the searchd as non-root.
Afterall, web applications are very exposed so running searchd as non-root
is very desirable.

By the way, thanks for your work on this really useful searchengine.

Hi Christian,

This is an amazing collection of patches. First of everything: Thanks!
Awesome work.

* man pages are in.
* cronjob of course.
* you are right about examples confs in /usr/share/doc. don't know what
was in my head.

* run as non-root that too.

I don't know about the libraries yet though. Going to think about that.

Will prepare a package in the next week sometime.
