Bug#564876: smartd: internal error in MailWarning(): cfg.mailwarn-emailfreq=0
This bug exists - but only in the Debian version of smartd. It is a regression introduced by the change for the '--capabilities' option (#ifdef HAVE_LIBCAP_NG). This option does not exist in the upstream version yet. The patch accidentally removes the warning mail enabled check at the beginning of MailWarning(), see lines 2849-51 of: http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/s/smartmontools/smartmontools_5.39-3.diff.gz Please reopen this bug. Hi, the messages started on Dec 10 and i have 1724 of them in my syslog. I seem to have installed smartmontools_5.38+svn2993-1_amd64.deb on Dec 9th. I replaced the failing hard disk last week so I do not get any messages anymore. -- // http://www.pyksy.fi/ // pyksy @IrcNet // -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
