Bug#581650: crazy mailto handling
Hi, Joey Hess wrote: > When I click on a mailto link, chromium launches epiphany to handle it. It uses xdg-email now, which will probably automagically use mutt for you. The crazy use-browser-to-handle-email-from-browser behavior is still present for those poor fools who don't have a desktop environment, MAILER setting, or mutt, though. Any ideas about what a good fallback and way to achieve it would be? But really this is a cross-distro issue; has there been any discussion of a standard way to register a mailto: url handler without a desktop environment in the Portland group?
