Bug#584558: #584558 LV configured by squeeze installer was not activated by, local-top/lvm2

2011-06-17 Thread Sylvain Collilieux
Hi,

I had the same pb on with a SCSI LSI controller. I added rootdelay=xx
to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT and it boots. I think it's not a bug in
lvm2 initramfs scripts but a long initialization of the SCSI controller.

thanks

Hello,

I installed squeeze from cdrom (d-i installer beta2) i386 with LVM.
On one machine (IBM x306) on a plain sata drive no problem but on
another on (IBM x345) with SCSI and RAID1 I get the described problem
from http://bugs.debian.org/584558 and have to manually activate the
volume group with

(initramfs) lvm vgchange -a y vgname
(initramfs) exit

Would be great if this old bug report could be fixed.

Thank you.
