Bug#592888: Quick search field unusable

2010-08-13 Thread Ira Rice
Forwarding this to the bugtracker, as it took until now for me to
realize that it wasn't going to the bugtracker (my fault). The source
of the problem has been found.

Ah, now it works after running that command. However, I didn't see a
rebuilding search index just from installing the package itself.

As for the output:
xapianDoIndexUpdate()
xapainIndexNeedsUpdate()
xapian outdated 2792
running update-apt-xapian-index
xapianIndexUpdateFinished: 0

Thanks, could you quickly check if you have the apt-xapian-index
package installed? Its a recommends to synaptic. I guess it should
really add a explaination if that was the reason.

Cheers,
