I believe it was some outage on Google side. Hi Vladislav, I can't reproduce this problem. With the same package versions as you use, I can log into google talk without any problems. Could you please check again if your password is correct? A bad password results in exactly the error message you quoted. In lenny it worked just fine, now it produces this error message: There was an error communicating with the server.
