Package: netcat-traditional Version: 1.10-38 Severity: normal The package description states: "This is the "classic" netcat, written by *Hobbit*. It lacks many features found in netcat-openbsd. "
Actually, the only feature I was using in the Hobbit version, the "-c" functionality, is not present in any form in the netcat-openbsd (from the man page at least). I suggest to erase that last sentence, it might lead into thinking that netcat-openbsd has all the functionalities and more. You could also state that "they do not share the same features". -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages netcat-traditional depends on: ii libc6 2.7-18lenny2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries netcat-traditional recommends no packages. netcat-traditional suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
