Package: ttf-dejavu Version: 2.33-1 Severity: normal In DejaVu Sans Bold and DejaVu Sans Oblique, small Latin letters with dot above (such as U+017C ż LATIN SMALL LETTER Z WITH DOT ABOVE) are broken at small font sizes - the dot is replaced with a vertical line. This is a regression from 2.32-1. Well, that's an upstream bug, as the Debian bug shows: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=27208816 So, you would have better chances to see this fixed upstream.
