Bug#621761: khtmlib
Hello Jonas, once I wanted to package khtmlib, and Bernhard (upstream, CCed), told me it wasn't really in a production-quality state, so I just skipped it until an official release happened. I see that you want to package a snapshot: did the conditions of khtmlib change? :) Anyway, you would be very welcome to maintain it under pkg-osm umbrella (where openlayers is being kept too, FWIW). Bug#621761: khtmlib
Hi david, hi Jonas At the moment there are some big changes on the way. I think the best will be to wait a bit with packaging. Hi Bernhard (and others), [please reply to OSM team list, not me directly] On 11-04-16 at 09:04am, Bernhard Zwischenbrugger wrote: At the moment there are some big changes on the way. I think the best will be to wait a bit with packaging. It is packaged already, just waiting for ftpmaster approval. Thanks to the encouragement from David, packaging has now been moved from the JavaScript team to the OSM team: git.debian.org:/git/pkg-osm/khtmlib I chose to package it even if not yet officially released, because I want to start playing with it for a project of mine, and dislike maintaining packages outside of Debian. I appreciate the warning about bumps ahead - but do not see that as a reason to not package: if it turns out the current code is unfit for release then we can simply file bugreports tagged accordingly. Since I now joined the Debian OSM team, I took the liberty to cc that team, and kindly request to continue discussion there and drop my personal email address from cc. Bug#621761: khtmlib vs libkhtml and sanity in package names
Dear ftp-team (CC. relevant bug report and package maintainer) Recently, a package named khtmlib (java script library related to openstreetmap) was uploaded and is currently in NEW. In the archive, we have a libkhtml5 package (KHTML web rendering engine) I think the names is at least very close to be confusing, and I would like to draw the this to your attention, so that you at least are making a informed decision about package names in the archive. My personal suggestion would be to get khtmlib renamed, in debian, and preferably also upstream. /Sune -- How could I rename a computer of the controller on a utility from the control preferences inside Flash?
