Bug#623367: myspell-ca: the dictionary do not accept ŀl as lgeminada
Hello, It seems it does not accept l + middle dot + l either. Or at least hunspell does not: $ echo 'intel·ligent'| hunspell -d ca_ES -m intel ligent It splits it into two words. I added the following line in the affix file: WORDCHARS · and apparently now it works (the line above must go before the first TRY): $ echo 'intel·ligent'| hunspell -d ca_ES -m intel·ligent st:intel·ligent There are still problems though, because both Abiword and Firefox still think it's two words. See chars HTML: #319 i HTML: #320 in unicode. Hi, Pere, Unfortunately, ŀ and Ŀ do not exist in latin1/9 encodings and myspell and hunspell catalan dictionaries use iso8859/latin1 encoding. Adding them to the hunspell dictionary (myspell does not support UTF8) requires changing the dictionary to UTF8 or providing two dictionaries, one with three chars l·l and the other with the explicit letter, but I do not think there is a global solution here that can be done through a single dictionary. May be you want to contact upstream about this, http://www.softcatala.org/wiki/Corrector_ortogr%C3%A0fic but, looking at softcatala wiki http://www.softcatala.org/wiki/Ela_geminada seems that explicit use of l geminada is discouraged if portability is intended, and so choice of l·l is intentional.
