now I have. There is a slight difference. with -n the wmnet window just
show up in the center of the screen and disappear after an instance, but
with -w, the wmdock icon moves to the left, and than back after wmnet exits.

with xfce 4.6 wmnet worked without any glitch (and I never used -w).

thanks for the reply and the forwarding!

Bug#623614: xfce4-wmdock-plugin: 0.3.2-2 won't take wmnet anymore

2011-04-21 Thread Balázs Hámorszky
Package: xfce4-wmdock-plugin
Version: 0.3.2-2
Severity: normal
Tags: sid

xfce4-wmdock-plugin won't take wmnet anymore with 0.3.2-2 (and xfce 4.8). I
don't know if it applies to any other wm applet, wmnet is the only one I use.
If I start it without wmdock, it starts perfectly and the dockapp appear in the
center of the screen. with wmdock it exits immediately after starting.

It'd be worth trying with other wm applets. I have to admit I have no
idea how it works and never used it so I couldn't tell.
