Thanks Geert,

If upstream don't intend to release then I would argue the viability of the 
package in Debian is questionable.

I would not mind a packages from
ftp://ftp.chan-capi.org/chan-capi/chan_capi-HEAD.tgz , which
works with the current asterisk in testing.
