Bug#626576: [gajim] gajim consumes 100% when idle

2011-05-13 Thread Riccardo Magliocchetti

Package: gajim
Version: 0.14.1-1
Severity: important

Hi,

gajim consumes 100% cpu even if it is closed in the tray.

gajim -v shows that a message like this

10:28:40 (I) gajim.c.x.idlequeue read timeout removed for fd 24

For that specific second the message is written 2512 times which is
probably a lot even for instant :).

AFAIR this is something that regressed around 0.14.0 (sorry for not
filing it before).

thanks,
riccardo

I think one the file transfer proxies you use does strange things.

As a temporary workarround, you can disable file transfer proxies in
account preferences, General tab

Yes, that's it. Thanks for the workaround, will try to find the
offending server, both are ejabberd, one is 2.1.6 and the other one is
an ancient 1.x.
