Bug#640121: piuparts: insufficiently user-relevant NEWS.Debian entry
Package: piuparts Version: 0.41 Severity: normal NEWS.Debian contains: piuparts (0.41) unstable; urgency=low * Source code is now stored in git. http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=piuparts/piuparts.git git clone git+ssh://git.debian.org/git/piuparts/piuparts.git -- Holger Levsen hol...@debian.org Mon, 22 Aug 2011 15:04:43 +0200 NEWS.Debian is meant to be for incompatibilities, warnings about serious bugs, and the like - the sorts of things that debconf notes were previously misused for. Movements of source code from one revision control system to another are of course very relevant to piuparts developers, but they don't need to be called out in NEWS.Debian. Imagine if every package on your system did this - apt-listchanges' news-only mode would be useless! Please remove this entry. The note in the changelog is enough.
