Hi,

How does that help to find out wther the file containing this was
already unpacked at that stage? Note the path contains the version and that
of course changed between 3.3.x and 3.4.x.

Maybe, in any case, I just debootstrapped a wheezy and dist-upgraded.
(apt-get). Worked for me:

Bug#641005: openoffice-common: unopkg failed during upgrade [ERROR: com.sun.star.registry.SimpleRegistry.open...]

2011-09-09 Thread Sebastian Andrzej Siewior
Package: libreoffice-common
Version: 1:3.4.3-1
Severity: important

My dist-upgrade of my amd64 sid system ended early with:

|Processing triggers for libreoffice-common ...
|
|ERROR:
com.sun.star.registry.SimpleRegistry.open(file:///usr/lib/libreoffice/basis3.4/program/services.rdb):
 underlying Registry::open/create() = 3
|Exception details:
|(com.sun.star.registry.InvalidRegistryException) { { Message =
"com.sun.star.registry.SimpleRegistry.open(file:///usr/lib/libreoffice/basis3.4/program/services.rdb):
 underlying Registry::open/create() = 3", Context =
(com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @85cc20 (ImplementationName =
"com.sun.star.comp.stoc.SimpleRegistry") } }
|
|unopkg failed.
|dpkg: error processing libreoffice-common (--unpack):
| subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
|configured to not write apport reports
| Errors were encountered while processing:
| libreoffice-common
|E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

The old/new version was according to dpkg.log:
| upgrade libreoffice-common 1:3.3.4-2 1:3.4.3-1

After
  apt-get -f install ; apt-get purge libreoffice-common && apt-get install
libreoffice

things got back to normal so it can be closed in case it is assumend to be a
local problem.

Sebastian
