Please note that, as I said in the original bug report, I also used the so-called test-drive suggested by midori FAQ: http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Graphics/VideoFormatSupport/Default.html It fails with midori, while it works fine with chromium... So, I was able to reproduce your issues by removing my gstreamer libraries. After that, I found that installing gstreamer0.10-plugins-good and gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg are the needed to get multimedia working on the sites mentioned above.
