With resolution (Settings -> Screen -> Change Resolution) set to 1920x1080 I get the above symptoms. With resolution 1440x900 things work better, but GNOME Shell's Activity thing is still visible at the top of the screen in full-screen mode. >> Hypotheses include interaction with GNOME Shell or interaction with my >> (newly installed) 1920x1080 monitor. > > I am using regular gnome3 with gnome shell on wheezy myself, so I doubt > that that could be related. > > Btw., could you test if the same happens to you with wesnoth-1.9? I just installed 1.9 and it behaves in exactly the same way. Regards //Johan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? I am using regular gnome3 with gnome shell on wheezy myself, so I doubt that that could be related. Btw., could you test if the same happens to you with wesnoth-1.9? That is the devel release and will be the next stable release 1.10 within the next few months, and some more testing of it would be welcomed. Bug#653577: /usr/games/wesnoth-1.8: Full screen mode doesn't work with GNOME shell
Package: wesnoth-1.8-core Version: 1:1.8.6-1 Severity: normal File: /usr/games/wesnoth-1.8 Dear Maintainer, the full-screen mode doesn't work for me. I get something like a maximized window. When I move the mouse close to the edges the screen scrolls and the "full-screen" window goes off-center. Hypotheses include interaction with GNOME Shell or interaction with my (newly installed) 1920x1080 monitor. I haven't played Wesnoth in a while so it could be due to changes in Wesnoth, X or SDL as well.
