Bug#654350: chromium: Wrongly warns about lightspark Flash plugin being out-of-date.

2012-08-29 Thread Timo Juhani Lindfors
Hi,

I first thought that chromium was using some online resource to figure
out which flash version was out of date but then I noticed that

   }

let's me use gnash again.

Bug#654350: chromium: Wrongly warns about lightspark Flash plugin being out-of-date.

2012-08-21 Thread Timo Juhani Lindfors
Hi,

I saw the same issue today with gnash and chromium. First I was really
confused and wondered if I had accidentally installed adobe
flash. Here's a screencast:

http://lindi.iki.fi/lindi/screencast/chromium-adobe1.ogv

I think it is very confusing that about:plugins shows GNU SWF Player
but the Download Critical Security Update button next to it goes to
adobe.com...

Bug#654350: chromium: Wrongly warns about lightspark Flash plugin being out-of-date.

2012-01-03 Thread Didier Raboud
Package: chromium
Version: 16.0.912.63~r113337-1
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream
Forwarded: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=108962

Hi,

as described in the upstream bugreport, chromium as currently available in
sid, when browser-plugin-lightspark is installed, warns about it being
outdated, which is wrong.

Chromium should not propose to the user a replacement of a free flash
implementation with a proprietary one, especially not when lightspark is _not_
out-dated.

Cheers,

OdyX
