As of jack 0.125.0, the generic atomic functions are implemented using
GCC intrinsics so there isn't really a bug here anymore.

I have also filed this upstream bug about removing all the unused
platform specific code:
https://github.com/jackaudio/jack1/issues/56

On m68k, I get these warnings during compilation:

../config/cpu/generic/atomicity.h:23:2: warning: #warning stub atomicity
functions are not atomic on this platform [-Wcpp]

However, there's a config/cpu/m68k/atomicity.h available,
the config/sysdeps/atomicity.h just doesn't pick it up.
