Thanks for all the help, Simon. Hopefully someone will pick it up.

I'd like to work on 0.7.1, as that is what I'm currently using and
would like that to get to Debian unstable (when that is accomplished
I could take a look at 0.8 or newer). I have basic Debian
packaging skills and can probably fix some of the problems, but I'm
not DD/DM so I would need some help there I guess.

I would need to know what are showstoppers for inclusion of
mediagoblin 0.7.1 to Debian unstable, so if someone can get
that info here, I would try to fix as much as I can.

Sorry, I haven't found the time to work on this a while. The package is
now a version behind upstream, and there's a bunch of javascript stuff
that will need to be dealt with for new new upstream version to be
packaged. I'm going to remove myself as the owner of this bug, since I
don't want to stop others from working on it.

Depends if you want 0.7.1 or 0.8. 0.7.1 should only need a little more
works. There's a thread about what needs to be done for it to be let
through NEW, but I'm not quite sure how to link to it (is
ftpmas...@ftp-master.debian.org archived somewhere?). 0.8 would need a
fair amount, though I don't know exactly how much.

Bug#657405: status?

2015-11-09 Thread Matija Nalis
So, what is the status with mediagoblin in Debian?

I've seen it go to NEW queue (and disappear from debian-mentors), but
never found any trace of it in unstable or elsewhere?

Also, in Debian Jessie with python2.7 I don't see Christopher Baines
problem with jquery-1.11.1.js:

git clone https://anonscm.debian.org/git/collab-maint/mediagoblin.git
cd mediagoblin
git fetch --all
git checkout debian/unstable
git-buildpackage -us -uc

seems to build installable package ok in ../build-area

What remains to be done so it can be included in Debian unstable?

I can only see few warnings thrown by "lintian mediagoblin*.deb":

Bug#657405: status update on packaging

2012-12-15 Thread Clint Byrum
I've got working packages, but have been distracted by some other things.

If there are others who would like to help get the package finished, please
let me know. I'd be happy to push the packages up to collab-maint as well.

I expect to have some free time to work on this over the christmas holiday.

Sorry for the 11 month lag!
