debootstrap pulls several packages but not for the packages from tasks,
so I want to reassign back to debian-installer.

Bug#668903: The installer marks everything manually installed.

2012-04-15 Thread dE .

Package: debian-installer
Severity: important

This ultimately results in a lot of junk accumulated on the system from
the start... you have to pluck packages out manually and check all of
the 350 or so packages installed by the installer to see if they're
actually required or not.

This also hinders upgrade (especially via aptitude).

Bug#668903: The installer marks everything manually installed.

2012-04-15 Thread Roger Lynn
This is one of the reasons why I don't install tasks from the installer,
and one of the first things I do on a new system is to mark most
packages (especially libs) as automatically installed. I would be
grateful if a way could be found to improve this.

Thanks for your work on Debian,

Roger
