Unrelated? Seriously?

 Dear Maintainer,

* What led up to the situation?
   try to run xfce4-power-manager
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
  ineffective)?
   nothing more than try to run it
* What was the outcome of this action?
   ** ERROR **: g_thread_init() must be called before dbus_threads_init()
   Trace/breakpoint trap
* What outcome did you expect instead?
   power manager runs

 *** End of the template - remove these lines ***

Unfortunately it's completely unreproducible here and we lack any
information on how it happened in the first place and how to reproduce.
Is it a first installation, did you upgrade something which led to that
situation?

I don't have a crystal bowl so there's no way I can do anything here,
sorry…

Regards,

Can you at least provide the whole output of running xfce4-power-manager
from command line? And maybe add a --debug switch.

i thought i had sent that already ... what it says is:

** ERROR **: g_thread_init() must be called before dbus_threads_init()
Trace/breakpoint trap

that is all it says with or without --debug added

thank you for your time

Well, it just looks like something set a breakpoint, and I have no idea
why. You need to check your system for that.

2012-05-07 Thread lauren

sorry but i don't quite understand

i am a developer so am familiar with debugging etc

i have certainly not installed anything or configured anything to cause
a breakpoint to be set system-wide on a power-manager applet

can you be a little more specific as to what you mean so i might try to
investigate further?

thank you
