Bug#671932: plasma-desktop: segmentation fault after loging, unable to load KDE environment

2012-05-12 Thread Ignacio Riquelme Morelle
Package: plasma-desktop
Version: 4:4.7.4-2+b1
Followup-For: Bug #671932

Instead of switching (i.e. deleting) to a fresh plasma configuration, it is
also possible to remove the plasma-scriptengine-python package as a stopgap
measure. Plasma will be able to start again, and Python widgets will cease to
work (presumably until the package is reinstalled).

Bug#671932: plasma-desktop: segmentation fault after loging, unable to load KDE environment

2012-05-08 Thread Darckense
Package: plasma-desktop
Version: 4:4.7.4-2+b1
Severity: important

I have a critical problem with plasma-desktop since I have updated debian sid
two days ago.

When I tried to log using plasma desktop environment, the environment start to
load, and at the end of the splashscreen, I got an error message :
plasma-desktop : signal segmentation fault (11)

From there, I have KDE bug report tool which opens, and after I end with an
empty screen and have to restart kdm.

Attached is the bug report file from the KDE utility.
