Ok. I got this feedback from the Ubuntu front and those folks have identified
the culprit patch. For some yet unknown reason that
issue does not appear on my machines. I'll ping you with an update in a few
minutes.

Cheers,

Steffen

Bug#672328: boinc-client: seti@home gives computation error on all work units

2012-05-09 Thread Bert Riding
Package: boinc-client
Version: 7.0.27+dfsg-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Both versions 7.0.24 and 7.0.27 of the boinc-client give an error
similar to the following for every seti@home task:

Wed 09 May 2012 10:29:57 PM MDT | SETI@home | Output file
17ja11ac.29037.9654.6.10.115_2_0 for task 17ja11ac.29037.9654.6.10.115_2 absent

Version 7.15 works correctly, and successfully runs seti@home work units.

I have reset the project and purged and re-installed boinc-client, with
no difference.

I will once again install 7.15 and forbid the upgrade to the new
version of boinc-client so that I can continue to contribute to seti@home.
