 Dear Maintainer,

I just found this similar bug report, so I'll add that I am having the same
 issue as described here.

No, you want to file your own separate bug.

Cheers,

Bug#673682: xorg: Xorg randomly _totally_ freeze (cursor and interface)

2012-05-20 Thread Dylan Belle
Package: xorg
Version: 1:7.6+12
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Xorg randomly _totally_ freeze : the cursor don't move and the interface is
blocked. It happens randomly when I use the computer. I don't have access to
the TTYs when this bug happens.

My only solution is to force the computer to shutdown (pressing 5 seconds the
start button).

This is the end of the Xorg's logs, I think that it would be usefull :

Bug#673682: xorg: Xorg randomly _totally_ freeze (cursor and interface)

Hi Dylan,

My only solution is to force the computer to shutdown (pressing 5

upgrade to latest xserver-xorg-core, xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
(available in testing/unstable), switching from X 1.11 to 1.12; and
please let us know whether that helps.

Likely one of those big bugs tackled in synaptics lately, the upgrade
should fix it all.
