Hello again,
Not sure if this is #610190 or a new bug, but under LXDE:
$ beep # works
$ printf "\a" # doesn't work
Unfortunately this means that any console applications will not beep :(
I've reproduced this with any combination of screen, rxvt-unicode and
lxterminal. Everything works fine on the console or if I start only
openbox.
I'll be glad to provide any other information necessary.
