Not much changed in MIPS emulation in 1.1.x stable series.

Does it chdir to some other place perhaps?

But anyway.  Please tell us something about your environment,
what you're trying to run, maybe some minimal reproducer,
and whenever it happens with non-static variant too.

But I can't find the dumped core with

   sudo find . -name "*core*"
