Despite mentioning in the Changelog, revelation does not depend on python-dbus. If this package is not installed, revelation fails to start printing the following message: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/revelation", line 25, in <module> import gettext, gobject, gtk, gtk.gdk, os, pwd, sys, dbus ImportError: No module named dbus After installing python-dbus, everything works just fine.
