The PDF I am using contains 608 scanned pages. OCRFeeder will correctly import the entire document. Beyond that, when I try to view any page beyond the first few, OCRFeeder will fail to respond. I was able to get it to successfully run recognize document one time without this error. Also, if I try to Save As or Export the document, I get the following error message: Could not read the contents of [username here] Too many open files I've captured my terminal output from the time I open OCRFeeder, to the point where it becomes unresponsive. Bug#682121: ocrfeeder: too many open files error after OCR of multipage document
Is this the correct place to post OCRFeeder bugs? If so, I was able to I was able to reproduce this bug. The pdf I am using is 608 pages long, and is all image based. I was trying to convert it to text so that I could use tts, and highlighting. OCRFeeder will correctly import every page and it will correctly recognize every document page. However, when I try select any page beyond page 4 for editing, OCRFeeder will fail to respond. Also, if I try to Save As or Export the document, I get the following error message: Could not read the contents of [username here] Too many open files This document is under copyright. I happen to own a hard copy. Package: ocrfeeder Version: 0.7.9-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, today I tried to OCR a 39 page document I imported as PDF. After viewing the results for the first two pages, the ocrfeed interface was no longer updated -- I could choose other pages, but the content shown was always for page 2. Saving the file, exporting it etc. wouldn't work, the dialogs were not shown. In the terminal I started ocrfeeder from, errors are displayed, see below. The reason given is Zu viele offene Dateien i.e. too many open files.
