For the time being, I provide
/etc/fai/fai.conf explicitly for the DEBIAN class in my config space.
Is this the recommended way?
Yes, this is a very good solution.
Copying fai.conf or writing to fai.conf on the install client should
not be done by FAI internally, but should only be done by some code in
the config space. Therefore I'm thinking about putting this in the
simple examples.
P.S.: I will fix the documentation soon.
