just to make sure there's no misunderstanding, will you send an updated color selection? -- Address:Daniel Baumann, Donnerbuehlweg 3, CH-3012 Bern Email: daniel.baum...@progress-technologies.net Internet: http://people.progress-technologies.net/~daniel.baumann/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Excerpts from Daniel Baumann's message of Mon Sep 24 15:30:08 +0200 2012: just to make sure there's no misunderstanding, will you send an updated color selection? I will try to come up with one but the plymouth code is more messy than expected so may take a while. Bug#687304: plymouth: hardcoded text theme color
Excerpts from Daniel Baumann's message of Thu Sep 20 15:44:03 +0200 2012: retitle 687304 update default text colors thanks if you provide a patch with a suitable default color selection, i'm happy to apply it. note that the default, as it's hardcoded, should match the default artwork from desktop-base package (so red/purple isn't a good choice). The default wallpaper contains basically gray, almost desaturated version of the Debian swirl. I don't think this is a good default for the progressbar. The default splash screen which would be more adequate source of theming for bootsplash does include the debian swirl in more traditional colour. Ubuntu has a version of the text plugin that is supposed to have these colours customizable. Unfortunately, Ubuntu's plymouth or kernel is severely broken and the splash is not shown. This is generally a mess since the dark blue colour is called brown in the source. Thanks Michal -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#687304: plymouth: hardcoded text theme color
Source: plymouth Severity: wishlist Hello, the progressbar color in the text theme is hardcoded to blue which is fine for Fedora but is not quite Debianish. I suggect replacing it with red/purple in Debian package or making it configurable. Thanks Michal -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
