Bug#687729: fcitx: makes gnumeric cursor keys edit (and delete) instead of navigate

2012-09-20 Thread Morten Welinder
The fact that I can reproduce this with ibus also prove that it's gnumeric
 bug

No, it does not. It proves the problem is in either Gnumeric or in
both ibus and fcitx. (Or
in all three, for that matter.)

But we looked and noticed that fcitx does something wrong. That
should be fixed.

Weng: why don't you spend some of all that energy getting the actual
bug fixed in
fcitx and/or ibus instead of bothering innocent victims?

Bug#687729: fcitx: makes gnumeric cursor keys edit (and delete) instead of navigate

2012-09-18 Thread Andreas J. Guelzow
A general statement such as
Custom GTK widget are very likely to have bad behavior.
is obviously utter nonsense.

It seems that fcitx is leaking keystrokes to Gnumeric. That is not a
Gnuemric bug. Input methods such as fcitx are required to be invisible
to any application.
