Do you mean the bugtracker at mozilla.org? There can be no entry there,
as the problem is caused by the patch I mentioned, which is only found
in the Debian version. Mozilla's Thunderbird doesn't exhibit the problem.
FWIW, I have recompiled Icedove without said patch and been running
this version for some time now, without any problems (though my use
cases don't include the corner case which the patch addresses).

Regards,
Frank

O.k. this backports are made from Mike, I just look sometimes on his
website, but o.k., so we know this error is not just happen with the
version in Wheezy.

The kind of mails where this bug is triggered is when you try to forward
a mail that was sent by a daemon or from the shell.

For example, to test this, I just sent myself a mail from the terminal
and after receiving it, if I try to forward that mail from icedove I get
 the error.

So that's more clear to me how to reproduce this error, thanks for
pointing at. Right now Chris, Guido and me are a little bit busy, but
hopefully in the next days and weeks we can take a clsoer look at it.

If someone can check if there is already a open bug for that issue on
the Mozilla bugtracker, that would be helpfull.

Carsten

I though this is a missunderstanding on your side. :) Anyway ...

17.0.4 is from http://mozilla.debian.net/ (Icedove version esr). That's why
 my
report was CC'd to the pkg-mozilla-maintainers list, which is listed

thanks for your tracking down the problem Frank. So the problem seems to
be now the mail itself which should be forwarded.

Can you please append one of such a mail so we can check localy why this
 issue happen?

I don't think appending such an email will do any good, as any kind of
 wrapping is
likely to nullify the problem. I will, however, directly send such a
 problematic email
to you (Carsten), by using the method I mentioned previously. This
 mail will come from a
different email address than this one.

Thanks for looking into this and regards,
 Frank

I'm attaching the example mail here (just in case).

But I think you should be able to reproduce this bug just by sending
yourself an email from the terminal (with the mail program), and then
trying to forward it from icedove.
