I confirm that this bug is present. It also happens when the gmpc
command is issued while a running instance already exists.

I don't know if this bug concern gmpc or gmpc-remote.

The man page of gmpc-remote says :

--show-view
  Give GMPC the command to show itself.

But, when I launch the command, gmpc show a message in the status panel :

Unknown command: 'show'  and does not show the window.
