I needed post-0.5 to play with the spark.io "spark core", which needed :leave support at least; dropping the debian dir into a git clone of upstream, running ./autogen.sh (and doing a dpkg --commit of that, which was probably wrong but I got about 15 seconds into untangling the cdbs autotools support and moved on :-) and it worked fine. So, consider this another ping towards doing a low-effort version bump...
