Bug#702010: gtkglext: uses pangox which is going away

2019-12-29 Thread Bastian Germann
pangox was removed from gtkglext's git repository with the commit
https://mail.gnome.org/archives/commits-list/2010-October/msg03446.html

The old repository is gone but there is a gtk3 port which has the
complete unchanged history, including that commit:
https://github.com/tdz/gtkglext/commit/32f37c936691baa25cc463c5339d0754bbaed8dc

Importing this version might be a way forward. It is not ABI compatible
with 1.2.0 though.

Bug#702010: gtkglext: uses pangox which is going away

2013-03-01 Thread Emilio Pozuelo Monfort

Source: gtkglext
Version: 1.2.0-3
Severity: important
User: pkg-gnome-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org
Usertags: oldlibs pangox

Hi,

gtkglext uses pangox, which is going away. Ideally gtkglext would stop using it
entirely, though I'm not sure if that's feasible without breaking the ABI.
There's a commit upstream removing the use of pangox[1], but it also removes
public APIs, so we can't use that.

Thanks,
Emilio
