I think the bug is solved with newer version of korganizer (4:4.10.5-1 in sid). 
Could you confirm it's working on your side too ?

Hi David!

This is an upstream wishlist bug. Saddly korganizer 4.4 is not maintained 
anymore.

Sometime after the Wheezy release we are going to upload a new version of KDE 
PIM (no date promised, though). Please feel free to check if this still 
applies when that happens.

korganizer date and time input prasing is too strict.  Enter 6:50PM
and it complains and suggests '06:44 PM', a leading 0 is not normally
written by humans writing a time, so computers need to accept that,
having a space before PM should not be required.  This is with the
default timeformat, "PH:MM:SS AMPM".
