Dear Maintainer,
I start kdiff3 as
kdiff3 -o out file1 file2 file3
If the file out already exist, I get the same problem as described above.
I.e., when trying to save the resolved file, I get two error messages:
Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol ''.
.
and
While trying to make a backup, renaming failed.
Filenames: out - out.orig
Creating backup failed. File not saved.
I found a similar bugreport for ArchLinux, which also contains a patch, see
