Hello Sebastian,
thanks for following up on this bug report.

I've just tested gnome-mplayer/1.0.9-1 (with vo=xv and
vf=screenshot in my ~/.mplayer/config) and, yes!, the bug really seems
to be fixed now.

I think you may safely close the bug report as fixed in version 1.0.9-1.

Thanks a lot for all you are doing!
Bye.

  Hello Sebastian,
thanks for following up on this bug.

Unfortunately, the issue is still present in version 1.0.8-2, I've just
  reproduced it...
(In case this is relevant, I am currently using libgmtk1/1.0.8-3)

And anyway, if you re-read the original report, you may see that I had
found the bug in both gnome-mplayer/1.0.7-4 and gnome-mplayer/1.0.8-1:
hence, I would have been very surprised, if I had been unable to
reproduce it now with gnome-mplayer/1.0.8-2, which seems to be the
upload to unstable of gnome-mplayer/1.0.8-1 (previously targeted to
  experimental)!

Sorry about that. I must have missed that while going through old bug
reports and thought this would only affect 1.0.7.

Before I close the bug report again, could you check if the issue is
fixed in 1.0.9-1?

Cheers

 Hello,
as mentioned in #699394 [1], when using gnome-mplayer with mplayer2 and
some VOs, hitting [Ctrl+T] generates a pair of identical PNG images,
rather than one (as I would expect).

 [1] http://bugs.debian.org/699394#54

I am still able to reproduce the issue with gnome-mplayer/1.0.8-1
(at least with vo=xv: I haven't re-tested the other possible VOs).

I'm able to reproduce the issue with vo=xv and mplayer2. It works fine
with vo=vdpau.

Please investigate and fix this bug and/or forward my report upstream.
As usual, thanks a lot for your time and dedication!

I've forwarded the issue upstream.
