Bug#705931: qpsmtpd: unable to bind to [::]

2013-07-02 Thread pywy
Works just fine right now.
When specified [::] or in the dpkg-reconfigure menu, the result is
the same : qpsmtpd binds on all (both ipv4 an ipv6) interfaces.
No need to explicitly specify ipv4 address - except if port number
changes.
This ticket can be closed

Thanks
Pywy

Bug#705931: qpsmtpd: unable to bind to [::]

2013-07-01 Thread Devin Carraway
Although I didn't explicitly fix it in this patch release, I'm unable to
reproduce the problem with 0.84-10, uploaded a few minutes ago - please
give it a try with that release and see if you still observe trouble.

Bug#705931: qpsmtpd: unable to bind to [::]

2013-04-22 Thread pywy
Package: qpsmtpd
Version: 0.84-9
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

If I set [::] in the addresse to bind, I get an error at the start of the daemon

root@debian:~# dpkg-reconfigure qpsmtpd
Stopping qpsmtpd: qpsmtpd-forkserver.
Starting qpsmtpd: Creating TCP socket [::]:25: Argument invalide
invoke-rc.d: initscript qpsmtpd, action start failed.

It works well if I specify ipv6 address like this
2a01:e35:efaf:9ad0:1e6f:64ff:feb7:fba2
